This new 3DMark is of course built for the DirectX 10 (and 10.1) era which has brought in both more powerful graphics cards and improved capabilities as well as optimization features to improve performance. As always this benchmark will test each aspect to the max, stressing both the graphics card and the main system such as the CPU, the system memory and the various connectivity bandwidths linking them all.
