Yahoo! recently noted the likelihood it would have to cut 1,000 of its current 14,300 strong workforce. Microsoft, not one to mix words in the business world is taking the plunge fast and heavy with this chunky takeover bid. Bear in mind we're talking billions here this is chump change for Microsoft but would bring in another well established technology and business arm for the software giant. One wonders if they are successful in this bid (after the Justice Department settles their Antitrust qualms) would they assume control and improve the search engine/advertising monster or simply assimilate and Microsoftize them all!
